Mountains, Zebras and baby...oh my!

I woke up in Virginia to mountains again. Not the Rockies but mountains of laundry! Ick.   To ease my pain, I found a few pictures on my camera I thought I would upload:

This is one of the most beautiful sights I saw while in Colorado:

We drove from Colorado Springs to Denver in this:

One more pic of our baby:

Not only did I leave my heart in Colorado but I also left my Zebra shirt! Lol!

I better jet and go hike this mountain (of laundry)!

There's No Place Like Home

We had the sheer pleasure of traveling to Pike's Peak today.  The summit was closed (due to ice and snow) but we were able to drive to around 13,000 feet.  I have never seen anything more beautiful.  Adding to the beauty was the fact I was able to play in the snow (again).  Jim pulled over so I could "play".  I took off running and realized very quickly it was not the typical "Virginia" snow I am familiar with.  I expected to dash through the snow but found myself knee deep and falling.  (It was fun though).

We were greeted by a precious little fox (he reminded me of Tilli):

I was looking for Bigfoot---but never saw him.  (imagine that!)

Spend the afternoon and night with my girls.

As to be expected, I am feeling sad about leaving Amanda and baby Jaelynn tomorrow but we have been so blessed to be here with them the past eight days.  The trip was as close to perfect as it could have been.   I have made Amanda promise me that she would send me a picture EVERY day so I can see my precious Baby Bella.

As Dorothy said, "There is no place like home".  With that thought, I'll go click my heels!

Please pray for Susana and family

I received an email from my friend, Martha S. tonight.   Martha asked me to pray for her friends who found out their little girl (Susana - 3 years old) has cancer.  The family is currently serving as missionaries in Haiti.  My heart broke as I read the family's blog post.

Will you please pray for them?  Here is their blog link with details:

Just Ducky

Happy one week birthday baby Jaelynn!!   I am posting the "ducky" pictures especially for Great-grandma Nanny Pat.

I went with Amanda to Jaelynn's follow-up doctor's appointment this afternoon.  Miss Little piggy is putting on weight and doing GREAT!!!  (I just made a rhyme, didn't I?)

Say Cheeeeese

Jordyn uploaded some pictures. (She is our official photographer and I think she does a pretty good job!)  We went to the top of a mountain yesterday (saw snow) and also found a very old prayer chapel. Today while Amanda and Jaelynn were resting, we were blessed to visit Garden of the Gods. Simply amazing.  Here are a few random pics from the past few days:

(this is the view from our room)

I have seen The Lord in more ways that I can ever explain on this trip.  He has been sending me "God winks" all week.  Jordyn took the below picture today.  When we viewed the pics, we all three were in "awe" and speechless.  Can you see a "face" in the upper left (in the clouds).

Bath Time

One of our dear friends (Burton Rager) lives here in Colorado.  He picked us up today and took us sight seeing.  Went to the top of a mountain and I saw some Colorado Snow!  YES!!  We visited the World Prayer Center this afternoon.  Amazing ministry!! Will try to post pics from our adventures soon.  Spent the evening with Amanda, Josh and Baby Jaelynn.   Baby was very alert tonight.  Here is pic of her with her eyes open:

A Picture Describes A Thousand Words

Baby Jaelynn came home from NICU today--just in time for her MiMi to arrive to see her!  The following pictures is one that I can not even believe.  It is one of those "wordless" pictures!  I can not believe she pointed at me and smiled!!!  She knew her MiMi has been praying for her the past 9 months.  More pictures later...Colorado is simply amazing.

We got to move it, move it!!

For reasons I will never understand, when I type a blog post title I often think of music. This title should read (or the song could be changed to) "she moved it, moved it!". I received a text in the wee hours of the morning from Amanda declaring her total ecstasy over baby Jaelynn's first....ah...well...um....you know!! What we were praying for!!!

Hopefully baby will be out of NICU in a day or so! Just in time for her MiMi to get some kisses in person!!!
